Thirsty for revenge, two men sent to prison by Buck Roberts come gunning for the retired U.S. Marshall. After a furious gunfight, the convicts leave him for dead and return to their hideout in Yucca City. While Roberts recuperates from his wounds, the rest of the Rough Riders search for the would-be assassins and uncover a devious conspiracy that runs deeper than anyone imagined.
Forbidden Trails is the third in a series of eight Rough Riders films made between 1941 and 1942. The regular cast is joined by Christine MacIntyre, reknowned for her comedic work with the Three Stooges.
