Dear Son, Sunset Carson... shot me. That's what's written on the letter Bob Wade carries with him, as he wanders the desert in search of the man who killed his father. Exhausted and dehydrated, Bob accidentally drinks water from a poisoned spring and nearly dies; the man who saves his life is Sunset Carson himself. Brought to Carson's ranch, Bob comes to blows with powerful ranch hand Sam Webster. When their grudge evolves into an exhibition boxing match to raise money for the construction of a new schoolhouse, the ranch hands scheme to kill Carson and steal the funds.
