When a wild stallion starts stealing mares from the local ranchers for his own harem, the ranchers band together to hunt him. But a couple of circus workers recognize the horse as a trick circus animal and protect him from the angry ranchers. The horse is forgiven when he saves the life of a rancher's wife when she is attacked by a wild elk. With all this going on, a subtle romance develops between Heather, a rancher's daughter, and circus worker Franz. The color photography of the majestic Colorado Rockies serves as an alluring backdrop to this nicely staged animal story.
