She will always be best-remembered for her role the same year as Ann Darrow in King Kong, which was voted one of the 100 best films of all time by the American Film Institute.

Naval Intelligence arrests CPO Jimmy Woodford for selling military secrets to foreign agents. Posing as Jimmy's pal, agent Steve Fletcher goes undercover to ferret out the leader of the spy ring. Assisted by Jimmy's beautiful girlfriend, Carol, he infiltrates the gang but realizes that he is falling in love with the girl. Steve gathers the evidence he needs, but suspects that Carol may also be deeply involved in the espionage.
