Lily Durrell has risen from her roots in an orphanage to establish herself as a major singing star on the radio. As she reflects back on her climb to stardom, she must weigh the marriage proposals of three suitors, each of whom had a powerful influence on her past, and decide what path holds the key to lasting happiness in the future.
Mary Beth Hughes is best remembered for her roles in The Ox-Bow Incident (1943), The Great Flamarion (1945) and most especially the camp classic I Accuse My Parents (1944). Supporting actress Kay Linaker is best remembered for appearing in a series of Charlie Chan films. Switching gears Linaker turned to script writing, and is best remembered for The Blob (1958), for which she was paid $125.
