Sisters Sarah and Martina come from a happy, wealthy family. Sara is quiet and reflective while Martina is outgoing and moody. One night as children, they disappear with no explanation as to where they went or who they met. This incident links them telepathically. Martina grows up to become a self-destructive famous model hooked on drugs, while Sara becomes a makeup artist with a specialty of dressing up corpses for funeral services and protecting her sister from a deadly supernatural force.
