Detour to Danger (MOD) (DVD MOVIE)

$18.92
Steve and Mary are vacationing young lovers. Their blissful stay at the mountain lake resort run by Mary's father, Tom, is rudely interrupted by a gang of payroll bandits on the run from police. The fugitives are well acquainted with Tom, having once framed him for a crime that led to prison time. Threatened at gunpoint, he reluctantly allows them to hide out at the hotel, but events soon spiral out of control. The lecherous gang-leader makes unwanted advances on Mary, while his thugs steal valuable jewelry from the guests. Outraged, Steve is driven to take the gang on single-handedly.

Co-director Richard Talmadge started as a film actor in 1914 and soon was overseeing stunts for the Douglas Fairbanks classics Robin Hood and The Black Pirate. He later supervised stuntwork on such epic entertainments as How the West Was Won, North To Alaska, and The Trail Of The Lonesome Pine and was second unit director on The Greatest Story Ever Told and Hawaii. The scene-stealing Si Jenks was a staple in 1930s comedies and westerns, including A Day At The Races, Topper, and Stagecoach.
