The stars and director of Four Daughters reunite for another tender Golden Era classic about love, loyalty and the sustaining strength of family. This time, the story revolves around a father who returns 20 years after abandoning his wife and daughters, just in time to warn his youngest against throwing her happiness away on a footloose charmer just like Dad. Daughters Courageous and Four Daughters "have much in common: warmth, humor, poignance and the less-readily definable quality which we can describe only vaguely as an interest in people," The New York Times's Frank S.
