Far afield from the world of burlesque, Goldstone was the protege of legendary animator-producer George Pal, directing several of Pal's popular \u003ci\u003ePuppetoons\u003c\/i\u003e series, including \u003ci\u003eJasper in a Jam\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eJasper's Derby\u003c\/i\u003e (both 1946).
