Ashes is a young, Indo-American man struggling in the inner city of New York to support himself and his mentally ill, big brother … but their lives are unraveling. When a group of small-time, Indian gangsters offer him an easy road to wealth, he pursues the opportunity with vigor. While his brother continues to decline, Ashes embarks on a steady path towards hardcore crime. But despite the harshness of life on the unforgiving city streets, Ashes’ traditional Indian values urge him to reclaim his life and choose the correct path.
