We see some of the earliest wood-and-canvas airplanes and meet Captain Eddie Rickenbacker, the WWI fighter ace and CEO of Eastern Air Lines. Godfrey, a pilot himself, gets in the captain's chair of an Eastern Air Lines Constellation and heads for the wild blue yonder--and demonstrates how the airliner remains aloft even with THREE of its four engines shut down.AIRPORT AMERICA (1954): Airport America shows us the good that planes can do such as crop-dusting farmers' fields and fire-spotting in national forests.SPECIAL DELIVERY (1946): Special Delivery spotlights the destructive capability of air power.
