The legendary career of "Buffalo Bill" Cody begins on the wild frontier in this action-packed silent adventure. The famed outdoorsman builds a town in Kansas after learning the Pacific Railroad will be coming through. But when Bill refuses trustee Roy Webb's offer to buy in, the crooked politician changes the route. Now the train will pass through an Indian settlement. Thinking Bill is responsible, the tribe's chief orders an attack on Cody's struggling community. Bill and the townspeople will need all the courage they can muster to fend off the onslaught of the savage Indians.

This epic of frontier days stars Roy Stewart, one of the best known Western leading men of the silent era. Stewart made his name appearing in cowboy sagas such as The Learnin' of Jim Benton (1917), Cactus Crandall (1918) and The Sagebrusher (1920). A versatile performer not limited to Westerns, he also starred opposite Mary Pickford in the classic Sparrows (1926). With Buffalo Bill on the U.P. Trail was so successful that producer Anthony J. Xydias rush released two additional historical dramas starring Stewart, Daniel Boone Thru the Wilderness and With General Custer at the Little Big Horn, in 1926. Actress/dancer Kathryn McGuire is best known as Buster Keaton's love interest in his classics Sherlock Jr. and The Navigator (both 1924.)

Trapping A Mountain Lion (1921): Two thrill seeking boys, Bob and Bill Bradbury, turn a dangerous mountain lion lion into a tame pussycat in this installment of Pathe's popular The Adventures of Bob and Bill series. Several years later, Bob would change his last name to 'Steele' and become one of the most popular Western stars of the 1920s and 30s.

Trapping The Bobcat (1921): In this episode of The Adventures of Bill and Bob, the two junior hunters set their sights on a ferocious bobcat. Bill would not follow his brother Bob Steele into Westerns, instead using his earnings from these films to go to medical school.
