A battalion of heavily armed criminals takes over a small Mexican village. Their commander, the notorious "Generale" Jose Juan Reyes, becomes infatuated with the beautiful Maria Dolores (Paulette Goddard), the fiery-tempered daughter of the town's wealthiest man.
