In the draught-ravaged Little Rock basin, thugs cause cattle stampedes and burn ranches. Their boss, Harry Dorn, has a secret deal with an Eastern syndicate to seize control of the entire valley over for an irrigation project. He arranges for friendly banker Dan Brady to be killed, hoping the bank's collapse will end further loans to desperate cattlemen. Brady's daughter, however, plans to deposit $50,000 to stave off ruin. "Lone Rider" Rocky Cameron offers to deliver the money for her, but before reaching Little Rock he's attacked by gunslingers and knocked unconscious. When he comes to, he finds both the money - and his memory-gone.

The 15th entry in PRC's popular Lone Rider western series, Wolves of the Range shows off Bob Livingston's sidekick Al (Fuzzy) St. John to his best comic advantage. Star Bob Livingston was previously one of the Three Mesquiteers and also played the title role in the 1939 Republic serial, The Lone Ranger Rides Again.
